8 Random Things

1.) I will not knit with single-ply yarn. Malabrigo? Sorry. You may be beautiful but I know what you’ll look like in the morning.

2.) I am addicted to Scrabble. And Scrabulous on Facebook. And the New York Times’ crossword puzzle.

3.) I’m paying no attention to the Democratic candidates and their primaries and I’m not backing a particular candidate. I would vote for any one of them. I have no interest in watching them attack each other’s records when the Bush administration’s record remains the elephant in the living room.

4.) Although winter is the knitter’s season, I hate it. Every year, I contemplate moving somewhere that doesn’t experience winter but then I think about the bugs and snakes that survive in places with mild climates. Needless to say, I haven’t moved.

5.) My mom has 10 brothers and sisters. I wish I had a big family. It makes me sad that Beatrix will only have one uncle on my side and one aunt on Aaron’s side.

6.) I resent my cell phone. Specifically, I resent being reachable. I often forget that my phone has been dead for a week. My friends and family know that reaching me by phone is unlikely.

7.) A bunny has made a nest in a raised bed in our backyard. I check on him whenever I take the dogs out. They haven’t seen his nest yet.

8.) Sometimes I stop and think, “I’m married and I have a kid???” I still think of myself as a single twenty-something. Probably not what Aaron wants to hear…

i think of myself as a single 20 something too and i’m always surprised when i meet someone much younger than me (who is 20 something for example) that reminds me that it’s quite possible that i’m old enough to be their parent.

I agree a hundred percent on the Democratic Candidate boredom. Come on, Obama, give us a platform. Please!

I’ve watch more of the Republican debates, since I find them absurd. These people live in this century? The views they espouse aren’t some sort of satire? Really, America?
